As increasing investments are made in lifelong learning and competence development for professionals, it becomes increasingly important that these efforts can be documented in a cohesive whole. Through micro-credentials, an individual’s learning after such courses can be documented and recognised, and the European Commission has recently proposed a new initiative to support the quality, transparency, and use of micro-credentials across the EU. The Competence Passport project is exploratory and evolves during its course, but with a clear goal of developing a Swedish model for this work.
